Introduction to the PHAT Program

PHAT stands for Power Hypertrophy Adaptive Training, a high-intensity workout program suitable for powerlifting, bodybuilding, and powerbuilding. Since 2008, it has gained significant popularity, aiming to enhance strength, muscle hypertrophy, and speed.

This program focuses on intensive training of each muscle group twice a week, delivering excellent results for trainees. Designed as a combination of power training and hypertrophy training, it demands high energy during workouts but promises efficient outcomes.

Program Structure

Power Training Days

  • Heavy Free Weights: 3 sets
  • Other Weights at Moderate Intensity: 6-10 reps, performed at a moderate tempo

Hypertrophy Training Days

  • Light Free Weights: 3 sets, with explosive contractions
  • Other Weights: 8-15 reps, performed at a moderate tempo

Weekly Schedule

  • Monday: Upper Body Power Training
  • Tuesday: Lower Body Power Training
  • Wednesday: Rest
  • Thursday: Back and Shoulders Hypertrophy Training
  • Friday: Lower Body Hypertrophy Training
  • Saturday: Chest and Arms Hypertrophy Training
  • Sunday: Rest
